What Revolv has kept in use
Every used thing bought on Revolv is one less thing made new. Here is the running total — counted carefully, so it can be trusted.
–items given a second life
–kg kept in use (est.)
–kg CO2 avoided (est.)
–paid to local sellers
Revolv is just opening in Southwestern Ontario. The first sales will show up here — list something and yours could be one of them.

How we count
Only sales count — a listing on its own saves nothing until someone buys it.
- Verified sales are card sales confirmed at the handover with the buyer's pickup code.
- Reported sales are items the seller marked sold (for example, paid in cash at pickup). We count them as the seller reports them.
- Weight is the seller's own weight if they gave one, then what the photo appears to show, then a typical weight for that kind of thing.
- CO2 avoided is what making the same thing new would have emitted — published footprints for appliances, electronics, furniture and clothing, and for tools and metal goods the steel in them alone — times the share of second-hand buys that really replace a new one (about half), minus the pickup drive. Things with no published footprint claim no CO2, and a sale whose drive outweighs its saving counts as zero.
- "Kept in use", not "kept out of the landfill": we don't know every item was headed there. And no landfill-gas credit — durable goods barely make any.
- Not counted yet: garage sales, rentals, part-sales of bulk stock and anything bought on a business's own website.
- Private by design: totals only — no names, no item details, and nothing from outside Revolv.
