Terms of Service
Effective date: April 25, 2026 · Updated October 12, 2026 (pay at pickup) · Revolv / R-Evolv Inc.1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Revolv (r-evolv.com) and any associated services ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and R-Evolv Inc. ("Revolv," "we," "us"). We operate under the laws of Ontario, Canada.
2. What Revolv Is
Revolv is a peer-to-peer circular commerce marketplace that allows individuals and businesses ("Users") to list, buy, sell, and arrange pickup or delivery of physical goods. Revolv is a platform intermediary — we are not a buyer, seller, or party to any transaction between Users.
Revolv uses AI (SupplAi™) to assist with listing identification, search, pricing, and routing. AI outputs are suggestions only and are not guaranteed to be accurate.
3. Accounts & Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or reviews.
- Revolv may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms at any time.
4. Listings & Transactions
- Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including item condition, description, and photos.
- Fractional listings must reflect the actual fraction of the item available.
- Revolv does not guarantee that any listing will result in a completed sale.
- Buyers and sellers transact directly; Revolv facilitates payment processing via Stripe but is not a party to the contract of sale.
- All sales are final unless the item materially differs from the listing description. If it does, raise it with the seller through Revolv messages first; if that does not settle it, contact Revolv (section 13) and we will review the order.
- Smart Scores and Eco Scores are informational only and do not constitute warranties.
5. Fees & Payments
- Listing is free. When an item sells by card through Revolv, the seller pays Revolv a commission of 7% of the sale price, taken from the payment; the buyer pays the listed price. Rentals, and items bought on a business's own website, carry no Revolv commission.
- Pay at pickup. Buying by card places a hold on the buyer's card for the price; nothing is charged at that point. The buyer receives a 6-digit pickup code. The payment is collected only when the buyer gives the seller that code at the handover (or confirms receipt themselves). If the buyer does not give the code — because the item is not as described, or the pickup does not happen — the hold is released and nothing is charged.
- A card hold lasts about seven days, so a pickup must happen within that time; otherwise the hold is released automatically and the item returns to the market. Sellers should not hand over an item until Revolv has accepted the buyer's code.
- If an item is posted rather than collected, the buyer confirms it on arrival. If the buyer has not confirmed it, and has not reported a problem, by the end of the hold, the payment is collected for the seller.
- Reporting a problem. Within 48 hours after a handover — or, for a posted item, before confirming it — a buyer can report that something is wrong. Revolv then holds the seller's payment, reviews what both sides say, and decides whether to refund the buyer or pay the seller. This does not affect a cardholder's rights with their card issuer.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe; sellers are paid through Stripe Connect to the bank account they give Stripe. If a payment arrives for an item that has already been reserved or sold, or for more units than are left, it is released or refunded in full automatically.
- Revolv may change its commission with 30 days' notice.
- Chargebacks initiated in bad faith may result in account suspension.
6. Pickup & Delivery
- Buyers and sellers arrange pickup, or posting, between themselves. Revolv does not currently arrange delivery and provides no cargo insurance.
- The drive costs and postage ranges Revolv shows are estimates to help compare options, not quotes. When a seller posts an item, the buyer pays the postage to the seller.
- Rentals are booked with the operator, who sets the terms, deposit and insurance.
7. Prohibited Items & Conduct
You may not list or facilitate the sale of:
- Weapons, firearms, or explosives
- Controlled substances or drug paraphernalia
- Stolen property or items without clear title
- Counterfeit or trademark-infringing goods
- Items that require a regulated professional license to sell (e.g. medical devices, prescription items)
- Adult content or services
- Live animals
- Hazardous waste or materials regulated under CEPA or provincial environmental law
You may not use Revolv to harass, defraud, impersonate, or harm other users, or to circumvent Revolv's fee structure.
8. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of photos and content you submit. By posting on Revolv, you grant Revolv a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use that content to operate the Platform, including AI training to improve listing identification (photos are not used for external AI training without separate consent).
Revolv's name, logo, Smart Score, and SupplAi™ are trademarks of R-Evolv Inc. You may not use them without written permission.
9. Privacy
Your use of Revolv is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Revolv's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to Revolv in the 3 months preceding the claim, or (b) CAD $100.
Revolv is not liable for the condition of goods, disputes between users, accidents during pickup or delivery, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
The Platform is provided "as is." We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service.
11. Dispute Resolution
Disputes between users should first be raised with the other party through Revolv messages. A problem with a card purchase can be reported to Revolv as described in section 5; anything else, write to Revolv at the address in section 13. Revolv may mediate but has no obligation to resolve user-to-user disputes. Card disputes (chargebacks) are handled through Stripe.
Any legal claims against Revolv shall be governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. The courts of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
